Topic –  How the Privateer Indian Community emerged.  Thomas Gibbs Sr. and his role in the Revolutionary War and his friendship with General Thomas Sumter. Discussion of the formation of the Goins Indian Community of Greeleyville, South Carolina. The Black River Indian Nation is a direct continuance of the Goins Indian Community of Greeleyville and all present members descend from the founding members of this community and in turn, those of the Privateer Indian Community.

Dr. Curry will have also his second book, The Awakening: The Seawright-Ellison Family Saga Vol.1, A Narrative History. Both books chronicle the reflections and experiences of his relatives that shed new light on African American History in Aiken County and South Carolina.
